A bridge and gate are being installed on 8A on the trail between Partridge Lake and Ogontz . Excavator work has been on hold until repairs to the machine were completed. $3000 was awarded for this project. Dave reported that work was done on Roberts land was also included in this award. The trail on Quimby Road will be re-routed to a trail cut on another portion of McWilliams land and other abutters. Rob has cleared this trail from Pearl Lake Road to about Locke’s land. The portion of the trail on Locke’s land needs to be widened.
Dave reported we have not received information about our request for 475 hours. He has heard that other clubs are getting less than they requested.
Per a telephone poll of the BoD, it was voted to close the Club house. Pipes have been winterized and the furnace is off. Fuel cost for heating the building was about $2000 last year. Electricity thru Public Service cost about $20/month last year. With the aged refrigerator unplugged the cost should decrease. Unanimous vote to maintain electrical power.
Per Dave there are many other clubs that believe there is a security issue with the software. Roger states there is none. The system is to go live January 1st. Members using the on-line system will pay $37.50 per membership. LSJ memberships from local businesses or via the website will continue at the $25 for family and $20 for singles. To defray the cost of paypal and mailing of cards Steve will add a $2 charge to the website on-line membership. Steve and Rob will revise the statements of the website and Facebook regarding membership costs.
Andrea will coordinate the event since Audrey is ill this year. Joe booked the Landaff Town Hall for Saturday December 19th
Youth Safety Course for OHRV’s
The Club will sponsor a program on January 16th from 9 to 3. Rob will be the contact person. We will provide pizza for lunch. The course is $20 pp versus $29.50 for the on-line course.
NHSA Easter Seals Ride-In for Camp Sno Mo
A Club ride will be organized for Friday February 5th. Riders need to anticipate about a 2 hour trip. There is a free spaghetti dinner that night, so the return will be in the dark. Cheryl Spillane and Andrea discussed other events including the contest for best costume. Theme is Reach the Stars. Trail 19 which went from the Town & Country to Maine has been closed.
Dave had the map at the meeting. It has been requested that our trails have names versus the current C#. The company that produced the map has already given some of the trails names.
Littleton Christmas Parade
The parade is Friday November 27th. Theme is A Star Spangled Christmas; A tribute to our Heroes. Brad and Rob agreed to help with a float again this year.
Plans are to set up outside of WGSB, DU-EZ and Shaw’s.
Steve discussed the need to have a variety of items/stories on the site about our Club so that when people do searches, the search engines will be more likely to put our website at the top of the results.
